Day 1: Rongai Gate to Simba Camp

Day 2: Simba Camp to Second Cave to Kikelelwa Camp
Elevation: 2,650m to 3,600m | Distance: 12 km | Hiking Time: 6–7 hours
Highlights: Continue ascending through open moorlands, stopping for lunch at Second Cave. Walk towards the jagged peaks of Mawenzi before pitching camp at the picturesque Kikelelwa Valley.
Day 3: Kikelelwa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp

Day 4: Acclimatization Day at Mawenzi Tarn

Highlights: Spend a vital day resting and acclimatizing. Take a short hike towards Mawenzi ridge for stunning photos and views of Kibo before returning to camp to relax.
Day 5: Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut (Summit Base)
Elevation: 4,330m to 4,700m | Distance: 8 km | Hiking Time: 5–6 hours
Highlights: Cross the lunar-like "Saddle" stretching between Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. Reach Kibo Hut early, rest, eat a high-energy dinner, and prepare for the midnight summit push.
Day 6: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (Summit Day!) to Horombo Hut
Elevation: 4,700m to 5,895m (Summit) down to 3,720m | Distance: 16 km total | Hiking Time: 11–15 hours
Highlights: Begin your night ascent by headlamp to Gilman’s Point on the crater rim. Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) as the sun rises over the glaciers. After celebrating at the Roof of Africa, descend to Kibo for a short rest and continue down to Horombo Hut.
Day 7: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate (Moshi/Arusha)
Elevation: 3,720m to 1,860m | Distance: 20 km | Hiking Time: 5–7 hours
Highlights: Descend through moorland and dense rainforest to Marangu Gate. Receive your official Kilimanjaro certificate, bid farewell to your mountain team, and enjoy a comfortable hotel transfer.v
