Day 1: Machame Gate (1,800m) to Machame Camp (2,835m)
Hiking Time: 5–7 hours | Distance: 11 km | Habitat: Rainforest
Highlights: After registration at Machame Gate, begin your journey through the dense, magnificent rainforest. Keep an eye out for Colobus monkeys and exotic birds before arriving at Machame Camp for your first night on the mountain.
Day 2: Machame Camp (2,835m) to Shira 2 Camp (3,850m)
